Director of Ferry Operations Heath Gehrke explains that the Wine Lovers Sunset Cruises provide guests with a one of a kind dining experience that is memorable, fun, and special. “There is really nothing like enjoying a fall sunset over the Delaware Bay while savoring fine wines, gourmet dishes, and great music,” Gehrke said. “And, if you are looking to impress that special someone, treat them to a romantic date night aboard the Ferry.”
The first series of Wine Lovers Sunset Cruises were held in 2006 and continue to grow in popularity with both residents and vacationers each year. These annual cruises give guests a unique wine tasting experience inside the delightful Crow’s Nest Lounge aboard the M.V. Delaware ferry vessel. With live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet five-course dinner and expertly paired wines – this intimate cruise is a special experience you won’t soon forget.
The wine cruise package cost $65 and includes round trip foot passenger cruise, five-course dinner with wine pairings for each course and an opportunity to purchase featured wines by the glass. A cash bar will also be available for those looking for something other than wine.
